After 25 years in hospitality, I've watched an industry that once stood for meaning, connection, and genuine care slowly drift toward convenience, numbers, and comfort zones. Somewhere along the way, excellence became optional, and mediocrity became acceptable
Throughout my career, I tried to challenge that mindset. I believed .and still believe that hospitality should inspire, not just operate; that leaders should build people, not just manage processes
But often, trying to raise standards meant resistance, because excellence disrupts comfort.
And that is why Maven was born , to bring back the soul of hospitality. To remind our industry that excellence is not elitism, and care is not an extra. It's about creating environments where people lead with purpose, work with heart, and deliver experiences that truly matter.
